Kathmandu, April 21 :- Several organisations have provided personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD).
Prabhu Bank and Raymond Shop handed over 100 units of PPE toMTPD chief, Senior Superintendent of Police, Bhim Prasad Dhakal, here on Monday.
On the occasion, SSP Dhakal thanked the organisations for providing the support to the Traffic Police who are involved in providing service and security to the public remaining in the frontline during the lockdown enforced by the government to prevent COVID-19 pandemic.
Shop Chair Sanjaya Adhikari said they were always active for assisting the people during the time of disaster and expressed commitment to work together with the Traffic Police in the coming days as well.
The MTPD has set up a coordination desk along with health personnel under the command of Deputy Superintendent, a quarantine ward and other safety measures for the Traffic Police personnel working at the frontline in the fight against COVID-19.
